Most homes are sold before anyone can walk through them. A floor plan PDF and a lot sign ask buyers to imagine a lot. 3D rendering for home builders closes that gap. It turns the plan set you already have into photoreal images and a walkthrough film, so buyers see the finished home before the drywall goes up.

What "3D rendering" means for a builder
For builders, a rendering is not concept art. It is a picture of a specific home you intend to build, based on:
- Your drawings. Elevations, floor plans, roof plan and sections set the geometry.
- Your selections. Siding, roofing, trim, windows, flooring, cabinets and fixtures set the materials.
- Real light. The home is lit the way it would be at a chosen time of day, so rooms read at their true scale.

Why builders use renderings
Sell earlier. Renderings let you market from the plan set, before the house is finished, instead of waiting until completion.
Show what drawings do not. Buyers who cannot read drawings can still see window placement, ceiling heights and kitchen layouts. Questions come up while the design can still change, not after framing.
Give listings an image of the home. On a website or MLS listing, a photoreal exterior shows the home a line drawing cannot. Label it "Rendering. Final finishes may vary."
Use one set of files in more than one place. The same images can go on your website, listings, signage, social posts, brochures and sales-office screens.
What we need from you
To render a home accurately, send:
- Plan set (PDF or CAD): elevations, floor plans and roof plan at minimum.
- Exterior selections: siding, stone or brick, roof color, trim, window and door color.
- Interior selections, if chosen: flooring, cabinets, countertops, fixtures. If not, we propose a default and mark it for your approval.
- Lot context, if known: orientation, grade and surroundings, so the exterior sits on its site.

A real example, stated honestly
Our sample film was rendered from a real single-family plan set, the Golfview plan. The house has not been built yet. That is the point: everything you see came from the drawings, not from photographs. It is the same process we would use on your plans. We do not show other projects or clients here.
How to use your renderings to sell
- Lead with the exterior as your listing's main image.
- Show the kitchen from the family room, the view buyers picture themselves in.
- Put the film on your website and cut vertical clips for social. One room per clip is easy to post.
- Print a rendering on the lot sign, so drive-by buyers see the finished home instead of a dirt lot.

Can you render a plan that is still being revised?
Yes, but lock the elevations and floor plan first. Geometry changes after modeling take a revision round.
Do renderings replace a model home?
No. They let you sell before a model exists, or sell plans you will never build as a model.
