Why floor plans matter to buyers
Buyers want to understand a layout before they visit. In Zillow's Consumer Housing Trends Report 2023, 82% of recent buyers agreed they are more likely to view a home if the listing includes a floor plan they like. In the same report, 72% agreed that 3D tours would give them a better feel for the space than static photos.
A new build has a problem here. There is nothing to scan and nothing to tour. The only floor plan is a drawing made for the builder, not the buyer.
What we are building
An interactive floor plan made from the same model we use for your renderings. We plan for it to let a buyer:
- Tap a room to see a photoreal rendering of that room.
- See which way each rendered view faces on the plan.
- Switch between elevation and finish options where you offer them.
- Read room names and sizes taken from your drawings.
Because the model is checked against your drawings, the plan and the images agree with each other and with your plan set.
Where it will work
We are designing it to embed on a plan page, a community page or a listing site that allows embeds. It should work on a phone, since that is where many buyers browse. It will pair with a plan range catalog so every plan in your range can have one.
Honest by design
An interactive plan for an unbuilt home is a rendering. Each image in it will carry an artist's rendering label. If you use it with an MLS listing, follow your MLS rules. When the home is built, you can replace renderings with real photos.

What you can do today
